Currently the most widely used RDP are EVA and Veova. The technology is mature and the application effect is good. In recent years vinyl acetate acrylic acid system has emerged as the focus of foreign competitive research and development, but it has not been widely used due to its immature technology, but its excellent comprehensive characteristics are the future development trend.

At present most of the imported vinyl acetate and Veova are still used in the market of our country. The main companies mastering this production technology are foreign companies, such as Italy’s VINAVIL, Germany’s Wacker, American national Starch & Chemical and French Rhodia.

As a world-famous multinational chemical enterprise group, VINAVIL has been engaged in the research, development and application of RDP for nearly 50 years. It is one of the largest manufacturers of EVA polymer powder in the world, with 5 production bases and nearly 40 branches. In Europe and Asia Pacific region, many famous professional manufacturers of dry mortar use the RDP as the main additive, and the most commonly used RDP has four kinds:

(1)5603P

The main component of 5603P is vinyl acetate –ethylene redispersible powder with excellent low temperature flexibility and bonding strength, good alkali resistance, good frost resistance, low shrinkage and low water absorption. This product is especially suitable for cement based and gypsum based bonding, widely used for external thermal insulation mortar, tile bonding, internal and external wall putty, repair mortar, interface agent and crack resistant plastering mortar.

(2) E06PA

    The main component of E06PA is vinyl acetate vinyl copolymer which is a general product. This product not only has good low temperature flexibility but also has good performance in frost resistance and bond strength. It is suitable for cement-based and gypsum based products, and can improve the frost resistance of products. It can be widely used in tile adhesive, dry powder coating, internal and external wall putty, repair mortar, jointing agent, interface agent, external insulation finishing system, etc. At the same time, E06PA can also improve the hydrophobicity and mechanical strength of dry mortar and has good crack resistance and water retention.
