Tile Grout & Gypsum Grout

Grout is a waterproof, dense mortar with uniform color, typically used to fill gaps or reinforce existing structures.

Tile grout/Gypsum grout

01Tile Grout

Tile grout is a construction material — typically a cementitious, epoxy, or polymer-based paste — used to fill and seal the narrow gaps (joints) between tiles after they are set. Its primary functions are to bond tiles together visually, prevent dirt and moisture from getting between tiles, and help transfer small loads across the tiled surface.

02Requirements and Formulation

The performance requirements for grout mortar primarily encompass physical and mechanical properties (such as strength and deformation capacity), waterproofing and mould resistance (including low water absorption and antibacterial efficacy), workability (such as initial setting time and open time), as well as environmental friendliness and weather resistance:
1. Excellent adhesion, bonding tightly to tiles without cracking
2. Strong water repellency, durable, easy to clean, and stain-resistant

A scientifically formulated blend is essential for producing high-performance grout. For tile joints of 1–1.5 mm, the following basic formulation may serve as a reference:
