SidleyCel® Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose Acetate Succinate (HPMCAS) is mixed ester of HPMC acetate and succinic acid. It is tasteless, white to light yellow powder or granule, and mainly used for enteric coating.
Characteristics
As enteric coating material, it has good film-forming property without plasticizer, good solubility in the upper part of small intestine (duodenum), thus can increase medicine absorption in small intestine. It can be well dissolved in acetone, ethanol- dichloromethane, acetone- ethanol- water and other solvents.
