01 Overview

LWS940 waterproofing agent features strong hydrophobicity, excellent breathability, and low dosage requirements. It significantly reduces the water absorption rate of gypsum products while enhancing their softening coefficient. Gypsum products manufactured with this agent can be widely applied in humid environments with relative humidity exceeding 75%.

How can the water proofing properties of plaster be enhanced?

Enhancing the water proofing properties of gypsum is generally addressed through two approaches: 1. Reducing the water absorption rate of the gypsum material. This can be achieved in two ways: increasing the density of the gypsum cured body, i.e., employing methods to reduce porosity and structural cracks to lower water absorption and improve water resistance,D-130 defoamer may be employed to eliminate foam in gypsum brickwork, thereby enhancing the compactness of the gypsum bricks; 2. Increasing the surface energy of the gypsum cured body, i.e., forming a hydrophobic film on the pore surfaces to reduce water absorption. LWS-940 water proofing agent may be incorporated into gypsum powder for use in manufacturing plasterboard and gypsum bricks, yielding superior water proofing performance.

Characteristics of Gypsum Waterproofing Agent LWS940

1. Exceptionally strong water proofing and permeability: Fully meets gypsum product water proofing standards (BS EN 15318:2007)! Treated products exhibit a lotus-leaf beading effect. After soaking for varying durations, water absorption rate, flexural strength, softening coefficient, and compressive strength all meet specifications! Manufactured gypsum boards achieve a water repellency rate exceeding 95%!

3. Fully eco-friendly: Completely non-toxic and harmless, meeting environmental standards.

4. High cost-effectiveness: Minimal dosage required—just 0.2% to 0.5% by weight of dry gypsum powder! Finished products achieve 5% water absorption rate.
